Concept
This concept was inspired by Player vs Player tower defense games like Bloons TD Battles or the versus mode in Plants vs. Zombies. In Bloons TD Battles, you send stuff at your opponent and place towers, but you and your opponent are on two separate maps; meanwhile, in the versus mode of Plants vs. Zombies, you share a map, but one player attacks and the other defends.
So I decided to make a concept that combined all these elements into a head-to-head, tower defense game where you send units at your opponent and defend from your opponent, which is all done on one shared map. Over time, this led to more additions to make the concept stand out, such as the units on both sides attacking each other, units being able to attack towers, and having towers switch sides once defeated
The main skill in this piece is my ability to prototype and design systems. Unlike other projects, there was no one to help me, and something like this hadn’t really been made before, so I had to figure out the systems and code on my own.
